The forest scene.

This scene was made with a texturised floor, using acrylic paint and tissue paper to create an abstract look that mimics the appearance of fallen leaves and dirt along iwht the green tissue which gives the look of grass. The tissue has been sprayed with diluted PVA which keeps it firm. Any tissue that hasn't firmed is then sealed with the acrylic paint to prevent any bubbling.

The trees were designed in a way that gave more depth to the scene whilst only measuring a short depth. The sizes of the trees in the foreground are much larger than those in the background.

The plants were made using real branches along with laser cut leaves which were stuck onto the branches with hot glue.

The floor is made of cardboard which allows my puppets to be easily attached. The elephants feet are supported and kept in place with pins, whereas the human puppets are attached with tiedowns. The cardboard saves time animating as it allows for a hole to be easily poked through, rather than having to drill through the wood.
