Here he is, in all his cute glory. Faraji The Elephant. He has a classic 'tatty-ted' feel to him to give a loveable look. His ears, trunk and tail are wire armature; his eyes are beads with DIY sockets made from hot glue and enclosed in sewed fabric, with a functional eyelid inserted under the outer skin layer. His legs, torso and head are made with purchased ball and socket pieces which I have constructed into a personalised scale for the designed puppet. His skin is made from a slightly stretchy and flexible, yet quite taught fabric which is sewn in such a way that it follows the folds of an elephants natural anatomy. There are access holes along the sewn fabric of the legs and joints to the armature in order tighten the ball and sockets if needed.
